Back to Reality

Hello everyone. Le big fat sigh. Vacation is over. Sob sob sob sobbbbbb. My sister and I landed back on American soil on Friday in the wee hours of the morning (cough 3 am). We had the best time abroad. And are deeply missing England and our friends there. The whole trip went smoothly, everything fell into place and we stayed safe and healthy the whole time. I will try to make posts for the rest of the time we were in Paris and for the whole time we were in England. We went all over the southern bit of England, starting in Brighton and ending in London. It was a very memorable 2 week trip that we took and cannot stop talking about it. I have become accustomed to drinking 2 cups of tea a day (one in the morning and one in the evening), I eat eggs more and am still on a hunt to find tea cakes. We couldn't find any to buy in the grocery stores in England, and ran out of time to hunt some down. I went back to work yesterday and am still in la la land mentally...so that's good. Ha!

The entire two weeks we were gone my sister and I kept pinching ourselves and going "wow, I cannot believe we are here." Yep, it was so memorable and enjoyable. My sister and I felt extremely blessed to be able to embark on the trip. Everything fell into place without a problem which was amazing. My highlights from the trip were wandering the streets of Paris with my sister while eating pasteries, going to the Cotwolds and relaxing, traveling with my best friend, meeting our friends and feeling completely comfortable to be ourselves around them (this leading to many a different situations and laughter), going to gigs and just seeing parts of England I had never seen before. I honestly feel so lucky to have some awesome people in my life that are on the other side of the world. My sister and I found it remarkable that the friends we have over there, felt like friends we had known our whole lives. I really wish I could explain this more but I really can't. Let's just say that saying goodbye to these people was difficult and sad. We don't know when we will get to go back to England and see our friends again so that just added to the sadness. But obviously we are going back. And to all the friends we made over there, and those that we stayed with, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are all such wonderful people, you treated me and my sister with such hospitality and respect that me and my sister felt so comfortable and welcome. We miss you all sooooooooooo much and want to relive those 2 weeks over and over again. Thank you thank you thank you, you are very near and dear to our hearts.

Yep, the trip was great, there are no words for how much we loved it and felt like England was our home (so much so I forgot that we didn't live there...which was odd/depressing when I remembered I didn't live there.). I will write more and post more pictures later but for now I have to get back to work. Have a wonderful day everyone!
