The Adventures of Portlandia/Mumford

Oh my goodness. There are no words that could even sum up the amazingness of this fabulous 2 day excursion. The concert. Holy canole. Better than I could have ever imagined. Talk about doing me proud my Mumford boys. Oh goodness.

We drove down on the morning of the 6th. It took about 2 1/2 hours, 1 stop, and three singing sisters. I think we sang the whole time, and when we made a pit stop to get food at a grocery store, we even danced in the isles. Nothing better. Pure bliss.

We arrived in Portland and let me tell you, that place is magnifico. It's like a hipster-er version of Seattle. And so many good looking men. So that was a bonus.

After a discussion of where to park, we hit up POWELL'S BOOKSTORE. Ya, if ya been there I don't think I really need to describe it. If ya haven't well...look it up.

The we trodded on to VOODOO DOUGHNUT
Which is a doughnut shop with any kind of whack-a-do doughnut you could imagine.

{Crazy donuts from Voo-Doo: Glazed, Dirty Old Bastard, and the M&M one I can't remember the name}

{Awesome alley where we ate our donuts}
After that me and my other sister left and met up with her friend and headed to the best concert ever...
{Pre-concert (Sister on left and me with the hat)}
My heart was bursting at the seams, and I think I had a permanent grin on my face the whole time. Oh it was good. They played every song I wanted them to with an exception to "Feel the Tide", which is o.k. since I think that is an older song. We left the concert with my wanting more and wanting to figure out how to stick around to meet them. Unfortunately, it didn't happen and we left. I was saddened but only because I didn't find a successful way of hiding out.

We then went back to the house. Fell asleep. Left in the morning. And sang.
The whole entire 3 1/2 hours home.
Wonderful trip. Happy memories. And beautiful music.

(P.S. we found out that the band was at Powell's most of the afternoon...
they were probably there when I was. Fail.)
